Add the historical quotes from the import file.The historical data from the import file will then be imported to replace the data that was just deleted. In this mode, the current historical data in StockMarketEye, for any symbol found in the imported CSV file, will be deleted before the import starts. Replace the historical quotes with the quotes from the file.After selecting the import mode from the "Import Options" section, click on the "Import" button. Once the file has been loaded, you'll see a summary of what was loaded. Otherwise, leaving it set to "Auto" is sufficient.ģ. However, if the date format you use in the CSV file matches one of the formats in the "Date Format" dropdown, you should select that date format in the dropdown. Usually, StockMarketEye can automatically detect the date format used in your CSV file. If your numbers in StockMarketEye are displayed with a comma as decimal separator (some European locales: 1 000,00), then the numbers in the CSV file must also use a comma as decimal separator. That is, if your numbers in StockMarketEye are displayed with a period (US standard: 1,000.00) as the decimal separator, the numbers in the CSV file must also use a period as decimal separator. The numbers in the CSV file must be formatted the same way that numbers are displayed in StockMarketEye. The open, high and low values for the date will be set to the same value as the open value. Volume (optional) - The trading volume on the date.The ticker symbol may not be longer than 32 characters. Ticker Symbol - The ticker symbol of the security to which the quote data belongs.The 3 columns of the CSV file must be as follows (Note: no additional columns are allowed). Volume - The trading volume on the date.Date - The date of the historical quote.Ticker Symbol - The symbol of the security to which the quote data belongs.The 7 columns of the CSV file must be as follows (Note: any additional columns will be ignored). The import CSV file can be in one of 2 formats: 7-Column format (OHLC data) Then click on the "Load File" button to continue. Click the "Browse" button and select the CSV file containing the historical quotes to import. This will open the "Import historical price data from a CSV file" screen.Ģ. Click on the Chart menu, Gears, and then select Advanced -> Import Historical Quotes from the dropdown. Then periodically add the most recent historical pricing into the file, save it and then import the updated CSV file into StockMarketEye as described below. Recommendation: It can make things easier to keep a CSV file available with the historical pricing in it. Although daily pricing is better and provides for more granular historical return calculations, weekly, monthly, or quarterly pricing can also be imported. Note that it is not necessary to import historical prices for each day in the past. However it can also be used to replace automatically downloaded historical quotes when those quotes are known to be faulty. This feature is typically used to support non-quoted items. StockMarketEye provides for manually importing historical prices from a CSV file for any symbol. These type of holdings are referred to as non-quoted items and do not have live quotes or historical quotes available for automatic download from any of the data providers supported by StockMarketEye.
